Significance describes classifications, evaluations and meaningfulness of a person or an object. Examples are reputation, rank, power, fame and position, e.g. rank in an organization, image of a product. Evaluations result from personal estimation and describe among others relevance, importance, degree and place, e.g. the first, the best, high market share. Meaningfulness describes a goal, sense, purpose and reason e.g. indirect effects and effects with the associated intention.
Meaning design focuses here on organizational and brand-creating activities, e.g. definition of appropriate roles (tasks, authority and responsibilities) as well as their introduction to an organization and the designing of organizational identities, services or products. The core question is: Which priority obtains the expression?
