Design is the process of the need-oriented development, production and adjustment of form, function  and semantics of objects (i.e. things, concepts, roles).
Form is about aesthetics of objects, user-friendliness
(ergonomics) and character, e.g. attractive color, intuitive access and sympathetic impression. Function contains supported use-cases, quality and tasks, telephony and internet access and reliability e.g. integrated. Semantics deals with cognitive aspects like persuasive arguments, information as well as reputation.  The design process consists in principle of the following Phases: requirement specification, concept creation, development and implementation. Design becomes effective and efficient by the early  development, so-called frontloading and the concentration on major aspects. Basic conditions of design are market conditions (i.e. customers and competitors), economic opportunities (i.e. thrifty design), as well as ecological requirements  (i.e. pollution free design).

Conscious design of meaning leads to more effective format of Objects with special attention on aspect  like e.g. attractiveness, manageability or importance. The core question is: Which Elements have to be designed?
